Ericka Swanson, Psy.D

Dr. Swanson works from a family system model that integrates a cognitive behavioral approach as well as trauma therapy.  Dr. Swanson specializes in providing therapeutic services and treatment for conditions including:

Dr. Swanson has an extensive background in completing Cognitive and Biopsychosocial Assessments for children as well as adults. Dr. Swanson also collaborates with the state of Illinois for examinations regarding social security disability claimants.

 Dr. Swanson obtained her undergraduate degree, a B. A. in Liberal Arts, from Purdue University in Hammond, Indiana.  While at Purdue, Dr. Swanson interned at the university's Marriage and Family Counseling Center.  After graduation, she attended the Illinois School of Professional Psychology where she obtained her Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Clinical Psychology. While attending ISPP, Dr. Swanson interned and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Streamwood Behavioral Health Center.

Prior to forming Insightful Solutions, Dr. Swanson practiced at Hoover & Associates in Tinley Park, Illinois.  

Dr. Swanson has been a member of the American Psychological Association since 2005. Since 2009 she has been a member of the Illinois Psycological Association.  Dr. Swanson became a Certified Disaster Mental Health Response Specialist (CDMHRS) in 2012.
