Michelle S. Krucek, Psy.D.
When navigating the difficulties that life can present, it comes down to skills. With access to the proper coping skills and the knowledge of how and when to use them, you can manage even the most difficult of circumstances. Using a goal-directed, collaborative approach, we can work together to assist you in finding the strength required to face any of life's challenges.
I have worked extensively with individuals struggling with issues related to finding a balance between their school, professional and personal life. By setting specific goals related to changes you believe are needed, we can explore the source of difficulties, including anxiety/panic, depression, stress management, identity concerns and relationship difficulties. We will focus on not only creating change, but also understanding the origin of your difficulty. I value a collaborative approach; together we will explore the sources of distress and develop coping skills that are most fitting for your life.
I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) framework that incorporates aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also provide LGBTQ affirming therapy for individuals managing sexual orientation and gender identity concerns.
Prior to founding Insightful Solutions, I spent 2 years as a Psychologist at Clocktower Psychological Associates while also serving as the Secretary of the Early Career Psychologist (ECP) Section of the Illinois Psychological Association (IPA).
I completed my Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Psychological Services Center at Argosy University as well as the training department at The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I received my Psy.D. from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2009.
